Mansour Affirms touch’s Technical Readiness to Accommodate New Range of Cellular Lines

Beirut–March 31, 2015: Decision to issue five-hundred thousand new cellular numbers that start with code 81 by Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb to touch, the leading mobile telecommunications and data operator in Lebanon, managed by Zain Group, the pioneering mobile and data services operator in the Middle East and Africa, was welcomed by the mobile operator that had repeatedly requested issuance of new numbers to meet increasing market needs for cellular lines.

Commenting on the decision, Vice Chairman and General Manager of touch, Wassim Mansour said, “Availability of lines is a top priority for touch as a mobile operator looking to meet market needs, as well as to develop new products and services that exceed our customers’ expectations.” Mansour affirmed touch’s technical readiness to accommodate the new range of cellular numbers in the context of its expansion plan for 2015 in addition to its ongoing efforts to increase quality and 4G coverage.

touch has been quick to ready itself on the ground to make the new numbers available for sale, given the imminence of the summer season during which demand for cellular lines increases. In the initial phase, numbers between 81600000 and 81699999 will be made available for purchase.
