Smearing and distorted allegations were recently circulated on some media channels and social media. They all aim at confusing the public through unfounded allegations against Touch.
Touch would like to state its opinion with regard to the above:
Touch is bound by and compliant with the Lebanese laws and regulations in place and upholds at all times the principle of transparency and arms-length transactions with the Lebanese authorities, its employees and customers.
As is the case with any company, whether local or international, that employs hundreds of staff, Touch has faced and is expected to face judicial recourses, most falling in the category of employment disputes. In all such stances, Touch exerted its best effort and is still doing so to sort those disputes amicably and prior to reaching the court system, for the purpose of protecting the interest of its employees and corporate reputation.
Touch respects and honors the integrity of the Lebanese judicial system and complies with any outcome or judgment they render.
Touch refuses to be dragged into smearing media campaigns and unfounded allegations that are merely red herrings aimed at distorting the evidence and diverting the focus of the Lebanese courts.
Touch reiterates the following principles:
Touch is first- hand compliant with, and under all circumstances, the Lebanese laws in place.
Touch is subject to the tutorship of, and works for the Ministry of Telecommunications, and abides, accordingly, by the instructions issued by the latter and the transparency criteria that it upholds.
The staff’s, best interest is on top of Touch’s priorities. The generosity of compensation and benefits granted to its staff is reckoned by all.
In light of the above, Touch appeals to all those concerned not to be dragged to the logic of media scoops and to the unfounded attempts initiated by some persons with the aim of prejudicing Touch’s interests and the interests of its employees, Touch reiterates its irrevocable compliance with the effective rules and regulations and with the instructions issued by the supervisory authority (Ministry of Telecommunications).
