Bassil continued by saying, “Ever since then, the company was entrusted by most mobile users in Lebanon, and I am proud to announce that we now have more than 2 million customers. These 2 million customers played a vital role in making mtc touch the leader of mobile telecommunications for 8 years now without rivalry”. Bassil then thanked all customers, the Ministry of Telecommunication, the media, the business partners, the employees and all the people at Zain for their contribution in achieving this leading position.
Bassil continued his speech about the “In my new world” media campaign: “We targeted the people with the aim of sharing their dreams and thoughts about a new world. We were thrilled with their level of involvement and participation via Facebook and Twitter where more than 600 movies were recorded about those dreams along with several other forms of participation including booths in malls and public places, mobile applications and radio shows.”
Mr. Bassil concluded, “We wanted to pave the way for the people and our customers through our media campaign to introduce them to the new world of Touch. The new identity of Touch with its transparent, blue and turquoise color represents our optimism and openness to a new world of innovation with the main objective of providing the best to our valued customers”.
Minister Sehnaoui
Minister of Telecommunications, Mr. Nicolas Sehnaoui commented, “I would like to begin my speech by referring to the media campaign designed for the new touch identity, and exemplified by its catchy and meaningful slogan, “in my new world.” This campaign dares us to dream and innovate. We need to incorporate the element of dreaming into politics as it is the only way to help us overcome its difficulties and pressures.”
He added, “It is time for me to share with you my dream of a new world. “In my new world, politicians do not publicize hatred and do not encourage divisions within the country. We are all united under the umbrella of the Lebanese army who represents us all from North to South and from East to West.”
Minister Sehnaoui continued, “In my new world, the internet is very fast. In my new world, no one hinders the work of the ministry of telecommunications and prevents it from executing its tasks. This is the first industry related dream that I aim to achieve.”
He concluded, “We encourage communication and support it; especially when the word “Touch” means communication via mobile network.”
