In coordination with the MoT, touch is completing its action plan to restore the remaining 10% of its network coverage in affected areas

Beirut, June 30, 2025: Contrary to the circulating news, touch announced that it is continuing its maintenance work on the sites located in war-affected areas in the South, the Bekaa Valley and Dahye, and is working in daily coordination with the Ministry of Telecommunication to improve its network coverage, with the aim to exceed the 90% achieved so far. Simultaneously, touch is awaiting permission to access the remaining sites currently off-limits in the South, located in border areas, to complete the restoration work.

touch is also employing the necessary investments, agreed upon with Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hajj, to improve its network after a complete absence of any investment over the past four years. The network improvement action plan includes coverage, capacity, and enhancing certain service features. The plan relies on the following components: coverage enhancement; network and sites availability; QoE enhancement; service optimization, and a summer readiness plan.
In terms of restoring the network coverage, touch stated that 25 sites are out of service for various reasons. However, the majority of these sites are located along the border, noting that the telecommunication quality in these villages is affected from time to time due to increased congestion during peak hours. Meanwhile, the company chose alternative and practical solutions, most notably replacing these sites with mobile MBTS stations in Hosh Tyre, Mays al-Jabal, and Khiyam. Under Minister Hajj's directives to unify efforts, touch is coordinating with Ogero to fill coverage gaps whenever necessary and ensure sustained internet connectivity.
