Beirut, June 23, 2014: Further to leveraging its well-established role in the Lebanese society, while also extending its support for football as the most popular game globally and locally, touch, the leading mobile telecommunications operator in Lebanon, managed by Zain, participated in bringing the broadcast of the World Cup 2014 games for free to all the Lebanese people, by signing a contract with SAMA following the initiative led by the Minister of Telecommunications, Boutros Harb.   
 
In this line, Mr. Wassim Mansour, Chairman and General Manager of touch stated: “the company has taken this strategic step in line with its commitment to meet the Lebanese society’s needs, fulfill its aspirations, and strengthen its social engagement. This reflects our company’s key focus on playing an impactful role in the Lebanese society, which enables us to achieve our strategic objectives as a leader in the market.” Mansour also added: “Our participation in bringing the World Cup games to the Lebanese is a new national initiative which is in harmony with the policy of Zain group.”
 
The company confirmed that participating in this initiative is mainly motivated by the football’s values of unity and diversity, also promoted by touch’s programs supporting the most important causes that are of interest to the Lebanese society. touch shares the enthusiasm of the Lebanese people towards the World Cup, through its pages on social media, allowing them to participate in an ongoing series of daily challenges to win valuable gifts, while also enabling them to follow the actual games on their mobile phones through its Mobile TV service.
