Beirut, October 11, 2025: touch announced the results of the first round of the e-Auction, launched earlier this month for the first two special mobile numbers: Bronze (79 79 78 78), and Golden (11 7777 78). Results of this first eAuction totaled $34,550, including the registration fees for the two numbers. The winner of each number has seven days to personally purchase the number, otherwise their reservation will be cancelled.

 

206 participants competed in the first e-Auction for the two numbers in complete transparency. They were able to view the prices displayed live on the company's website and mobile app, and were able to follow up the auction process for two days before it automatically stopped at the scheduled time.

 

"This is conclusive evidence of the Lebanese user's desire to acquire unique mobile numbers”, stated touch Chairman and General Manager Karim Salim Salam. He added: “this has become possible after Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hajj transferred the special numbers to the company, providing equal opportunities to obtain them directly, transparently, and without any intermediaries, through the online auction. The online auction represents a step forward towards the digital transformation that touch seeks to realize across all aspects of its business”.

 

Salam noted that the sale of special numbers through online auction represents an additional means to generate additional revenue for the Lebanese treasury, and that these funds will be used for development projects, including optimizing and expanding touch's network to enhance the user experience in terms of voice and data services.

 

In parallel, touch revealed new special mobile numbers for the second round of the online auction. The company published the new numbers on all its social media channels and sent out text messages to ensure maximum transparency throughout the online auction process.
