touch Wins the Gold Prize at The Pikasso d’Or Awards
Raising Standards of Creativity in Lebanese Advertising
Beirut February 10, 2016: touch, the leading mobile telecommunications and data operator in Lebanon, managed by Zain group, the pioneering mobile and data services operator in the Middle East and Africa, won the gold prize at the 23rdPikasso d’Or Awards for outstanding advertising creativity part of its Anghami campaign.
Touch’s Anghami campaign, produced by the advertising agency J. Walter Thompson in 2015, was honored for the highest standards of creativity throughout the Pikasso outdoor networks. Under the headline ‘life is better with music’, this multi-media campaign injected popular Lebanese and foreign music lyrics into visuals that depict the Lebanese daily life, using an approach that is unique, relatable and relevant.
Delighted with the recognition, touch’s Chief Commercial Officer Nadim Khater said, “touch is proud that the award went to a product based on a partnership with a Lebanese startup company and it fits touch’s strategy of selling digital services and content. The Pikasso d’Or Awards is an annual competition-cum-promotion organized by the Lebanese advertising firm Pikasso. Each year a specialized jury judges advertisements on the basis of their originality, quality of execution and suitability as a poster or visual. The ceremony took place at The O1NE, which was beautifully customized for the occasion. Vibrant with creative people made the event a memorable one, especially for touch, which received the grandest honor.
