touch's network and data traffic increased by over 400% during Pope Leo XIV's Apostolic Visit to Lebanon

Beirut, December 12, 2025: Touch announced the results achieved during Pope Leo XIV's Apostolic Visit to Lebanon, which took place between November 30 and December 2, 2025. This surge followed all the measures and procedures implemented to enhance network coverage, mobile data services, customer service, and the new customized bundle.
 
Accordingly, customer service teams at the Jounieh and Byblos branches, as well as at Beirut headquarters, the company's point of presence at Beirut Airport, and the contact center, served over 11,000 subscribers between November 29 and December 2.
 
As for the network, it witnessed a massive surge in communication and data usage, exceeding 400% at most pilgrimage sites, reaching as high as 865% in Annaya. These results reflected the success of the company's action plan, which included equipping the site designated for the Divine Liturgy on Beirut's waterfront with four MBTS mobile stations and a fifth station in Martyrs' Square. In addition to enhancing voice and data services, increasing network capacity, and improving network service at all key pilgrimage sites in Annaya, Harissa, Bkerke, and the Presidential Palace.
 
Touch's action plan also positively impacted network performance indicators, with connection success rates exceeding 99% at all major pilgrimage sites, whether for voice calls or data.
 
Touch customized as well a special package for the pilgrimage period, which included one hour of talk time and 3GB of data for one dollar, and had more than 60,000 users subscribe to it. The total number of phone calls made on the network reached approximately 5 million calls, while the total amount of data consumed exceeded 1.6 million gigabytes.
