Beirut, 26 November 2025: In anticipation of the papal visit that His Holiness Pope Leo XIV will make to Lebanon between 30 November and 2 December 2025, touch - in coordination with the Minister of Telecommunications Charles El Hajj - has taken a series of measures and actions to strengthen the network coverage, data service as well as customer’s service.
Regarding customer service, touch will open its Jounieh and Byblos service centers and its main HQ service center in Beirut on the 1st and 2nd of December, in addition to its PoP at Beirut Airport which will be open exceptionally on Sunday 30th of November.
As for the network, touch has deployed four MBTS relay stations at the site designated for the Divine Liturgy celebration on Beirut’s waterfront on the 2nd of December, and a fifth station at Martyrs’ Square, and has worked to enhance both call and data services and increase the network’s capacity to serve the expected number of attendees. In parallel, technical teams worked to improve the network service at all the main visit sites in Annaya, Harissa, Bkerké, and the Presidential Palace. Company engineers and technical teams will remain on full standby around the clock to ensure the best possible service at all locations. 5G service will also be provided at the Presidential Palace.
On this occasion, Karim Salim Salaam, touch Chairman and General Manager, welcomed the historic visit of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to Lebanon, describing it as “a rare moment for national unity and inspiration.”

In parallel, the company has launched a $1 bundle including 1 hour of talk time and 3 GB of internet, which customers can benefit from between 28th of November and 2nd of December.
