Beirut - April 3, 2019: touch, the leading mobile telecommunications and data operator in Lebanon, managed by Zain Group, has been selected as the undisputed winner of the prestigious Product of the Year 2019 Award within the Telecom category. The company’s  Student Plan, touch Mobile App, and touch Business Bundles were winners in this year’s edition, having fended off stiff competition from market rivals to be named category winners. 
 
The results of the Product of the Year 2019 Lebanon Edition were announced at an awards ceremony held on March 27 at Music Hall in Downtown Beirut. 
 
Product of the Year is the world's only consumer-voted competition for product innovation. Established in France in 1987, the ceremony operates in 44 countries globally with its core purpose being the guidance of consumers to new products, and the recognition of service providers and manufacturers for product and marketing innovation.
 
For the Lebanon edition, over 100 consumer products and services were submitted across multiple categories in 2019, including Banking, Telecom, E-commerce, Food, and Household Care with touch being selected as the winner of the Telecom category based on the official results of a comprehensive national survey conducted on 1,600 consumers in Lebanon by global market research agency, Nielsen. The award was voted by people and independently validated by the market research agency.
