touch opens a new Service Center in Byblos
inaugurated by Minister of Telecommunications Boutros Harb
Beirut March 7th, 2016: touch, the leading mobile telecommunications and data operator in Lebanon, managed by Zain Group, a leading telecom innovator in eight markets across the Middle East and Africa, celebrated the inauguration of its new service center in Byblos in an opening ceremony that was held under the patronage of His Excellency Minister of Telecommunications Boutros Harb.
The new Byblos service center was inaugurated by Minister Harb, along with touch Chief Executive Mr. Peter Kaliaropoulos, the Head of the Owner Supervisory Board (OSB) Mr. Gilbert Najjar, and other OSB members. Also present was the Director General of Operations and Maintenance of Ogero Telecom Dr. Abdel Menhem Youssef, the President of the Municipality of Byblos Mr. Ziad Hawat, in addition to other local officials.
Minister Harb described Byblos service center as a positive reflection on the telecommunications sector, one that portrays innovation and modernity. He said, “This service center embodies the immense effort that is being put towards meeting global standards, making Lebanon’s telecommunications sector a leader in the region. I truly hope that this will become the model for other future service centers around the country”.
Delighted with the launch, touch CEO Peter Kaliaropoulos said, “The Byblos Service Center embodies an innovative new design and functionality aimed at serving customers more efficiently in a relaxed and convenient manner whilst minimizing transactional time for the customer. All new touch Customer Service Centers will incorporate such new design principles and functionality”. In fact this center is the 8th of its kind in the country, operating for the main purpose of simplifying customers’ lives and saving them both time and effort.
