touch announced that some of its customers experienced difficulties when receiving calls as the touch network faced congestion when interconnecting with external networks.

Beirut 4 February, 2016: In a statement issued today, touch announced that some of its customers experienced difficulties when receiving calls as the touch network faced congestion when interconnecting with external networks.

The congestion occurred at 8.30 in the morning and, through voice traffic diversion, most calls were successfully completed by 2.30 pm. Some customers may have experienced longer difficulties as congestion improved in phases.
All data sessions and mobile internet services were not affected and there was no data service interruption.
An investigation is underway to determine causes and review procedures to prevent similar technical difficulties in the future.

Touch sincerely apologizes to its customers for any inconvenience they may have experienced.
