touch receives a Golden Medallion in Excellence and Quality at 10th edition of TATWEEJ

Beirut, November 13 2015: touch, the leading telecommunications and data operator in Lebanon, managed by Zain group, the pioneering mobile and data services operator in the Middle East and North Africa, was crowned with the Red Purple Scarf adorned with the Golden Medallion under the category of Excellence & Quality. The company received the recognition during the Royal Grand Finale Ceremony of the 10th edition of TATWEEJ for Arab Business Leaders and Leading organizations in the Arab region. This honorary award came as part of Tatweej’s initiative which aims to recognize leaders, managerial figures and businessmen in the Arab world for all their professional achievements and successes which reflected positively on the region’s economy and development. The event took place at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in the United Arab Emirates on the 8th of November.

Ms. Hayat Youssef, Internal Audit Director at touch, represented the company at the awards ceremony and received the recognition on its behalf. In her speech, she thanked Tatweej Academy for recognizing touch and highlighting its successes. She went on to describe touch’s journey during the past ten years, under the management of Zain group, in which it achieved multiple success stories. In fact, the mother company Zain has always adopted a strategy that is keen on providing high-quality services. It has revolved around answering the consumers through understanding and accumulating in-depth knowledge about their needs, thus allowing them to communicate with the world as they aspire. This strategy also seeks to support the community, develop its businesses and direct its energies in a more sustainable manner. This approach has been the primary motivator and the fundamental catalyst for touch to kick off with full momentum ten years ago and attain leadership in the operational and technological fields.

 

Youssef said: "Over the past few years touch received the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification as well as the ISO 27001 Information Security Management standard. These two certificates have constituted a milestone for the company, highlighting our efforts towards the development and improvement of our system as well as our unyielding pursuit to provide quality services to our customers while maintaining our commitment towards meeting global quality standards. They also shed light on our sense of social responsibility as a corporation, which are all a reflection of Zain’s strategy”.

 

This honorary award came as a result of the continuous cooperation between Zain and touch. It played a fundamental role in touch’s enduring leadership and excellence in the Lebanese market, becoming a true pioneer in the field of mobile communications. touch aims to continuously diversify its services and offerings, seeking to enhance customer experience and its commitment to quality and information security.
