touch network availability exceeds 97% and its 5G live experience records the highest internet speed of 1.9 gigabits/sec

Beirut, November 14, 2022: touch showcased in the periodic meeting of the Ministry of Telecommunications within the plan to improve service, quality of communication and ensure continuity of the sector, which was held last week in the company’s building, that the availability of its network exceeds 97% during the day and 99% at night, compared to 83% in July, which is considered one of the highest rates of network availability on a global level, despite the absence of electric power from natural sources. touch network also achieved a significant improvement in the quality of voice service, which reached 99% (excellent) compared to 72.78% in July, while the customer experience indicator in using cellular data increased to 87.7% (excellent) compared to 69% when the improvement plan agreed with the Ministry of Communications was launched.

 
In this context, Eng. Salem Itani, Chairman and General Manager of touch, affirmed, "We will double our efforts, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Telecommunications, to ensure that this level of performance is maintained and more to meet the requirements of our customers in terms of their cmobile telecommunications and the use of cellular data with the quality they seek daily. On the other hand, We will continue to overcome obstacles, most of which are external, that hinder in some areas from providing our services with the quality we want in terms of voice telecommunications and speed in cellular data.”
 
In this field, touch was able to reduce the number of stations that still face some problems to 78 stations out of a total of 1368 stations, which means that it also exceeded the number of 80 stations that were agreed upon in the initial plan, and this is only a clear indication of the company’s tireless pursuit to ensure the mobile telecommunication service aspired by its customers.
 
In terms of the 4G live experience that touch conducted in the presence of the media in the aforementioned periodic meeting, the speed was about 500 megabits per second, while the speed of the 5G live test was 1.9 gigabits per second, recording the highest speed in Lebanon among similar live tests, which is one of the best speed rates in terms of the fourth and fifth generation networks.
