Beirut, January 15, 2026: touch successfully raised $95,740 from the sale of 24 special numbers across various categories during the last quarter of 2025, through its e-auction service on its official website and mobile application.
The company offered a range of numbers categorized as Chrome, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. This initiative aligns with the strategy of Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hajj to develop effective ways to increase revenue and bolster the state treasury, thereby ensuring the funding of vital development projects, most notably strengthening touch network and enhancing the user experience in voice and data services.
Karim Salim Salaam, Chairman and General Manager of touch, commented: “This result confirms the complete transparency of our e-auction. The progress of each auction is clearly displayed to the bidders, who can follow the prices in real time through our digital platforms.” Salaam added: “The high turnout reflects the market’s dynamism and subscribers’ interest in acquiring special numbers. It also proves that the auction is a highly effective tool for maximizing revenue for the public treasury. Furthermore, the e-auction represents a qualitative leap in touch’s digital transformation journey, as it strives to digitize all aspects of its operations.”
Based on these results, this sum represents a significant additional revenue for the state treasury. This amount is ten times what would have been collected had these numbers been sold using the conventional base pricing model, highlighting the added value achieved by the digital auction mechanism in maximizing revenue.
