Beirut, January 21, 2026: A delegation from touch, headed by Chairman and General Manager Karim Salim Salaam, visited Minister of Industry Joe Issa Khoury to discuss ways for cooperation between the Ministry and touch.
The delegation shared touch's digital transformation plan with Minister Issa El Khoury, focusing on two key pillars: the first being "industrial connectivity," which involves empowering factories and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with secure, reliable, and scalable mobile telecommunication solutions; and the second being "digitalizing the customer experience" through touch's adoption of a digital onboarding mechanism via its mobile application. This mechanism is based on legally binding digital signatures, in accordance with Law No. 81/2018 and international standards.
In this context, Karim Salim Salaam, Chairman and General Manager of touch, stated, "This initiative is part of a joint roadmap with the Ministry of Telecommunications aiming at modernizing operational processes and enhancing customer experience. It reduces paperwork and enables instant purchase of touch SIM cards via the mobile application, ensuring a seamless and easy service for both consumers and businesses, and supporting safe and legally compliant growth across all Lebanese regions."
Salam added, "this step is a big leap in how we deliver our services, as we strive to simplify procedures and provide a fully integrated and secure digital experience. We are committed to going beyond simply providing telecom services, to include supporting the national economy and enhancing the efficiency of the industrial sector in Lebanon, in close cooperation with both Ministries of Industry and Telecommunications."
Touch reaffirmed its commitment to dedicating all its technological capabilities to the national economy and productive sectors, in line with the government's vision for achieving a comprehensive digital transformation that enhances business efficiency and serves the Lebanese society.
